A rigorous and scientific plan to reduce our emissions

Through concrete action and a science-based vision, we are doing our part to limit global warming.

We have set near-term science-based targets and, as an SME, we are committed to reducing our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 compared to 2021, as well as measuring and reducing our Scope 3 emissions.

Overview of scopes and emissions across a value chain; detailed emissions: Carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), nitrogen trifluoride (NF3). Source: WRI and WBCSD 2004.

A photovoltaic system for the production of renewable energy.

The way we produce and consume energy contributes to our total direct emissions as a company. We have chosen to invest in alternatives to fossil fuels by installing a 124kW photovoltaic system on the roof of our warehouses, which we estimate will generate 50% of our total annual energy consumption.

OUR PROJECTS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND BIODIVERSITY

Our Corporate Social Responsibility consists of concrete actions to reduce emissions directly related to our activities, as well as specific projects to have a positive impact on the environment and promote biodiversity.

From the “Bosco dei Racconti” (Forest of Tales) – which has already allowed us to absorb about 182 tons of CO2 – to the apiary of the “Pollinate the Planet” project, to the Piave river clean-up days, each project is a targeted commitment to care for the territory in which we operate.

Labelling & Packaging

Each component contributes to limiting our environmental impact

Packaging and accessories such as labels and stickers are beautiful and necessary, it’s true. We have decided to make useful changes to reduce any excess, to achieve an essential and ecological impact.

From 1 January 2023, all packaging placed on the Italian market must be appropriately labeled to facilitate collection, reuse, recovery and recycling, and to provide clear information on its final destination.

It was an opportunity to optimize our packaging and develop new stickers and tags, which are now reduced in size and made entirely of recycled paper.

Our search for alternatives and low environmental impact solutions has just begun.
