Responsibility & Partnership
We care about quality and sustainability.

We are serious about our sustainable mission and want to prove that we are transparent and trustworthy through partners who promote the highest standards in the industry.

We want our hats to be on people’s heads for as long as possible, as quality headwear has a longer life cycle.

By working with international standards and associations, we want to assure consumers that the products they buy have been verified by a third party.
This means that our products are made responsibly and that we work with all partners in our supply chain to meet strict environmental and social standards.

Partnership, Third-party Standards & Programs

SEDEX

We collaborate with Sedex, a non-profit organisation that works to increase the spread of ethical principles along global supply chains and is the largest platform in Europe that collects and processes data on the ethical behaviour of supply chains.

The Sedex methodology has not created a new certification standard, but has developed a process (SMETA) that our company has adopted to audit its suppliers and to collect best practices on how to conduct audits in an ethical and social manner. In this way, Sedex makes it possible to manage supply chain risks and improve working conditions.

Textile Exchange

Our company is a proud member of Textile Exchange, a global non-profit organisation driving positive action on climate change across the fashion and textile industry. Their mission is to guide and support a growing community of brands, retailers, manufacturers, farmers and others committed to climate action to produce more purposefully, from the very beginning of the supply chain.

The Global Compact

Our company is a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest strategic corporate sustainability initiative. It stems from our commitment to promote sustainable development: respect for human and labour rights, the environment and the risks of corruption. The United Nations Global Compact is:

  • a voluntary initiative to adhere to a set of principles that promote the values of sustainability through policies, business practices and social and civic behaviour that are responsible for future generations;
  • a commitment signed with the United Nations by the top executives of participating companies to contribute to a new phase of globalisation characterised by sustainability, international cooperation and partnership from a multi-stakeholder perspective.

PPAI Responsibility Leaders

Our company has been recognised as a Responsibility Leader 2023 by the PPAI, which each year honours companies in the industry that have set an example of corporate social responsibility in the US market.

We Are

As product safety regulations in the United States increase at the federal, state and international levels, PPAI’s Product Responsibility Action Group (PRAG) believes it is imperative that the industry as a whole recognises and understands the importance of product safety. For this reason, PPAI has created the Product Safety Awareness Program as part of a larger initiative to build confidence in the promotional products industry at all levels. Certification is mandatory for all companies in the industry who wish to access the PPAI marketplace through trade show exhibit space, sponsorship and advertising.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the world’s best-known labelling systems that certifies fabrics for the presence of harmful substances. If a textile product carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be sure that it has been tested for a wide range of regulated and unregulated substances that may be harmful to human health. The tests are carried out by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of an extensive catalogue of OEKO-TEX® criteria. Master Italia is listed in the official OEKO-TEX® Purchasing Guide as a holder of OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificates nos. PG020202938 and PG020126968 for knitwear products manufactured in Europe in Class 2 (products in contact with the skin). In the Atlantis collection we also offer products certified according to this standard, click here to see them.

ASI

We are a member of ASI, a US-based association dedicated to providing companies with the tools, resources and support to succeed in the promotional products industry. ASI’s mission is to promote a culture of caring with the best services, products, education, research and content available to help its members prosper.

PPAI

PPAI (Promotional Products Association International) is the largest non-profit trade association for suppliers and distributors of promotional products. It has more than 15,000 member companies and runs the largest promotional products trade show, the PPAI Show in Las Vegas. PPAI is the trusted leader providing essential knowledge, resources and communities to ensure the success of its members and the industry.

AEO

The status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) is a certificate of voluntary membership, attesting to the reliability and security of the company in the international logistics chain, granted by the Customs Agency to economic operators in the European Union following an audit.

Thanks to this certification, importing companies can benefit from simplified customs procedures and fewer checks. All this results in faster customs clearance, lower costs, prompt delivery and reliability, better relations with customs authorities and, ultimately, greater prestige on the international market.

SGS

SGS is the world’s leading provider of inspection, verification, analysis and certification services. Under SGS leadership, we are committed to reducing risk, optimising processes and operating in a safer and more sustainable manner.

LCA

Thanks to the collaboration with L.C.A. Ambiente, our company is carrying out a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) project, i.e. a methodological approach to analysing the environmental impact of products and services, which consists of compiling and evaluating, throughout the life cycle, the input and output flows, as well as the potential environmental impacts, of a product system. Through an LCA it is therefore possible to reconstruct the phases that characterise the life cycle of a product/service.

Ritex

We work with Ritex, an internationally accredited materials control research centre, to verify the quality, performance and safety of materials using a scientific and rigorous approach. Choosing Ritex and the integrated By Your Side® programme means choosing a service that includes the adoption of a control plan tailored to the needs of the customer, the characteristics of the product and the nature of the supply chain, in order to guarantee the chemical safety and performance of the products, while at the same time controlling the reliability of the suppliers. But it doesn’t stop there: it also means combining continuous updating with communication tools to give the right visibility to the company’s commitment and responsibility.

Cikis

Cikis, a consultancy specialising in sustainability in the fashion sector, is one of the key partners accompanying us on our journey. Their aim is to help companies define their strategic sustainability goals, design an operational plan to achieve them, and support them step by step in their practical implementation with a 360-degree approach: from strategy to planning to communication.

CUOA

At Master Italia we support the CUOA Business School, the first business school in north-east Italy, based in the prestigious Villa Valmarana Morosini in Vicenza, founded over sixty-five years ago and one of the most important in the country. The Business School is present on the national and international market with products and courses, masters and events that respond to new professional challenges and promote the development of new business models, aimed at managers, executives, entrepreneurs and young graduates.

The CUOA is not only an excellent training center, but also an “incubator” of ideas that, thanks to a direct and continuous exchange between professionals, managers and entrepreneurs, allows us to anticipate needs and orient trends, with an increasingly international perspective. It also supports scientific research and publishing activities and is strongly focused on sustainability, pursuing the objectives of the 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

At Master Italia, we are committed to reducing company-wide emissions in line with the science-based 1.5°C targets set by the Paris Agreement. To this end, we have developed a roadmap and verified our near-term emissions target against the net-zero standards defined by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a global body that enables companies to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. It is focused on accelerating companies around the world to halve emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The initiative is a collaboration between the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Global Organic Textile Standard

Master Italia has obtained GOTS certification to resell hats and caps made of 100% organic cotton, in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

This standard is endorsed by leading international organizations in organic agriculture. It ensures that products, both intermediate and finished, contain natural fibers from organic agriculture. Additionally, it emphasizes traceability throughout the entire production process, restricts the use of chemicals, and enforces environmental and social criteria at all stages of the production chain.

For detailed information on the products covered by this certification, you can refer to the Scope Certificate with reference number ICEA-GOTS-23-3539/00A-02.

Global Recycled Standard

Master Italia has obtained GRS certification to resell hats and caps containing at least 20% pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled material, in accordance with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

This standard is promoted by Textile Exchange, a prominent non-profit organization in the sustainable and responsible textile sector. The GRS ensures the release of a third-party verified declaration that guarantees the percentage of recycled material and tracks it throughout the entire supply chain process, from material recycling to subsequent manufacturing stages, up to the labeling of the finished product. It also ensures that companies across the production chain have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements.

For detailed information on the products covered by this certification, you can refer to the Scope Certificate with reference number ICEA-GRS-23-3540/00A.
