Atlantis Headwear x ONA Short Film Festival 2026

On San Servolo Island, La Voz del Mate meets a new customization experience by Atlantis Headwear.

La Voz del Mate: a story of memory, nature and regeneration.

For the fifth consecutive year, we renewed our journey with the ONA Short Film Festival, returning to San Servolo Island with a collaboration that brings together cinema, outdoor culture and new perspectives on the relationship between people and nature. At the heart of this edition is La Voz del Mate, a short film following Camila Chebez as she returns to the landscapes of her childhood in northern Argentina’s Atlantic Forest, where yerba mate becomes the thread running through a story of memory, community and biodiversity. Her personal journey intertwines with the legacy of her father, Juan Carlos Chebez, a leading figure in the conservation of Argentina’s biodiversity, and with the work of her mother, Sofía, a biologist and conservationist dedicated to protecting and restoring natural ecosystems.

In a landscape shaped over time by deforestation, industrialization and monoculture, mate takes on a meaning that extends far beyond agriculture. It becomes culture, belonging and an opportunity to imagine a different model, one in which cultivation can once again coexist with native trees and the species that sustain the ecosystem. This is where we find the deeper meaning of the project: using images not simply to portray a place, but to reveal the relationships that shape it and make it unique.

Atlantis Headwear x Gibi Merch live printing.

This year, we wanted to take the ONA experience beyond the screen, making headwear an active part of the event itself. For the 2026 edition, we selected two silhouettes that naturally reflect the Festival’s outdoor identity: Bucket Pocket-S, made from recycled ripstop polyester, reversible and packable into its own pocket, and Rainy-S, an unstructured 5-panel cap crafted from recycled ripstop polyester and finished with a ReTraze® visor. Alongside these two styles, we introduced an exclusive live-printing session, inviting each guest to customize their Atlantis Headwear x ONA cap by choosing up to four stickers, which were then applied using a heat press.

The activation was developed together with Gibi Merch, a company specializing in the development of creative, customized merchandising, from concept and design through to production. The collaboration gave us the opportunity to explore a different way of experiencing a product within an event: no longer simply as a finished object, but as something shaped through personal choice. Because a cap can begin telling a story even before it is worn: through an image, a gesture, or a detail chosen to make it truly your own.
