Atlantis Headwear x BigRock

A custom capsule accompanies BigRock students on their BigTour across the United States.

Atlantis Headwear x BigRock: the BigTour across the United States.

Some experiences begin with the desire to step beyond familiar spaces, shift perspective and allow the journey itself to become part of the creative process. This is the vision behind the collaboration between Atlantis Headwear and BigRock, created around the BigTour: an educational journey that takes the school’s students across the United States, moving learning beyond the classroom and into an experience shaped by discovery, exchange and personal growth. Since 2005, BigRock has been training artists and professionals in computer graphics, progressively expanding its educational offering into fields including 3D, video games and concept art, combining technical expertise, experimentation and a strong culture of teamwork.

We chose to become part of this story through a simple element, yet one designed to accompany the entire experience: a custom cap created to become part of the group’s identity throughout the journey. For the BigTour, we selected the Dad Hat-S Five, an unstructured five-panel style with a clean, versatile construction and an adjustable metal closure. Made from 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled cotton, it features a recycled ReTraze® visor and a lightweight construction designed to adapt naturally to a variety of settings.

Atlantis Headwear x BigRock

The Atlantis Headwear challenge for BigRock students.

But a collaboration with a school built around creativity could not stop at the product. Together with BigRock, and with the support of its teachers, we wanted to give the students a second challenge: to interpret Atlantis through their own perspective.

As part of the brand’s presence in the US market, selected styles from the Atlantis collection joined the BigTour with an intentionally open brief: to become creative material. No predetermined set. No prescribed interpretation. Just the journey, the product and the freedom to observe. The challenge invites students to bring the caps into the visual narrative of the road trip, experimenting with landscapes, perspectives, objects, details and fragments of everyday life. The product can be worn or simply become a natural part of the scene, without necessarily taking centre stage. The creative direction developed for the project embraces a more spontaneous, editorial visual language, capable of telling the story of the journey through the traces it leaves behind: surfaces, objects, details and lived moments. This is where the collaboration takes on a new dimension. Not only in creating a cap to accompany the BigTour, but in giving the students the freedom to reinterpret the product through their own point of view.
