We want to tell you a story about a one-year-long beautiful project on the theme of sustainability and sport.

The last year we were contacted by the Enginoars, four rowing engineers from the UK and Norway, to support them in the Atlantic Challenge emission, the world’s toughest row long 4,800km across the Atlantic in a special canoe of around 8 m where they will eat, sleep and of course row for about 40 days!
The annual race started on 12th December 2022 from La Gomera, Canary Islands with the finish line in Antigua & Barbuda, with up to 30 teams participating from around the world, which will battle with sleep deprivation, salt sores, and physical extremes inflicted with the mission of getting the boat safely to the other side.

Their purpose with this competition is to raise funds for Engineers without borders, a world cross organization which believes that engineering can be a critical enabler of change that allows the planet, including all people and living beings, to thrive. In addition to supporting the cause of Engineers without borders, they also want to raise awareness of environmental problems, which is why they chose partners who could offer them low-impact solutions for the challenge, including us.

When the Enginoars contacted us in early 2022 and we spoke about the challenge and values we share, like sport and care for the environment and communities, the connection was immediate, and the partnership started.
Together we designed a stretchable and sporty cap and a comfy beanie, both in recycled polyester.

Throughout the year we followed the guys training and cheered for them during the race. They did an amazing job, and we couldn’t be prouder of them and proud of joining such a beautiful cause. The Enginoars finished the race on the 17th January (after 35 days at sea!) and now can rest and celebrate their huge success!

It has been an incredible experience to have supported and shared.

Stay tuned for upcoming challenges!
