Atlantis Headwear’s 2024 Impact Report
Governance, Environment, Supply Chain, Product, People, and Community: a manifesto of transparency and shared value.
Master Italia S.p.A. becomes a Benefit Corporation: the first step toward Atlantis Headwear’s Impact Report
Every cap in the Atlantis collection reflects a deliberate choice rooted in Vision. In January 2024, we formalized our founding commitment by becoming a Benefit Corporation. This wasn’t just a legal change, it marked a cultural evolution that redefined both the why and the how of our company.
Our first step?
We embedded six common-benefit goals — Governance, Environment, Product, Supply Chain, People, and Community — directly into our corporate bylaws, aligning with the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals. Each of these areas serves as a pillar in a strategy that aims to unite business performance with the common good. Driven by our Sustainability Committee, this approach has become a true laboratory where competitiveness and responsibility come together, translating ESG objectives into concrete actions: from the approval of an Integrated Industrial Plan to the definition of environmental and social KPIs. This is the foundation of our first-ever Impact Report: an evolving document that follows our first two sustainability reports, enabling us to guide and measure our actions. But with a shift in perspective: the Impact Report goes beyond numbers, inviting us to reflect on the real impact of our decisions. It’s not just about intentions, but outcomes. Not just performance, but purpose. It’s a conscious exercise that pushes us to measure not just what we do, but why we do it.
At the heart of Atlantis Headwear’s 2024 Impact Report: Circularity
For us at Atlantis Headwear, the product is the result of a journey built on dedication, innovation, and respect. Our internal ecodesign Framework, developed through Life Cycle Assessment analyses, guides the selection of “preferred” materials like organic cotton, recycled polyester, Polylana®, and textile-to-textile fibers. In 2024, we assessed 105 product models throughout every stage of their life cycle using our CF Atlantis tool (ACCREDIA-certified), generating insights that led to the introduction of brims made from recycled fishing nets and plastic bottles. At the same time, we raised our standards for quality and traceability: today, 90% of our sustainable caps are certified with GOTS or GRS labels, and pre-shipment quality inspections increased by 165%, preventing defects and ensuring alignment between ecodesign and durability. Our goal for 2025 is ambitious: every product we make will use low-impact materials, with a strong focus on recycled content. It’s a path that puts Circularity at the very center of our brand journey.
More than just caps: our Report is about People and Communities too
At Atlantis Headwear, we believe every action has a ripple effect, and the quality of what we do stems from how we live our work every day. That’s why, in 2024, we redesigned our spaces to be more welcoming and accessible, improving not just energy efficiency, but shared well-being too. We’ve invested in personal growth and training, supported health with specialized prevention services, and enhanced moments of dialogue and listening through our “Talking Hats” sessions.
But our commitment goes beyond the company walls. We’ve entered schools, engaging 514 students in the “Bosco dei Racconti” project to teach biodiversity. We supported 313 families in need through the Emporio Solidale, and actively cared for our local environment: 25% of our team took part in the Rotary Plastic Ride, while Sport in Piazza energized the city of San Donà di Piave for a month with sports, inclusion, and community-building events. Internationally, we contributed to a reforestation project in Tanzania, generating environmental benefits and supporting 583 Maasai families on paths to autonomy and education.
In 2025, we aim to expand our positive impact on local communities by launching new high-impact partnerships and involving even more colleagues and stakeholders in volunteer initiatives. Because to us, sustainability means building real connections, with people, with the planet, and with those who share our Vision.
