Atlantis Renews OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certification: Our Guarantee of Safety and Sustainability
For the seventh consecutive year, Atlantis is committed to ensuring maximum safety for both people and the environment by offering OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified products, including recycled fabrics.
Atlantis renews its commitment to a sustainable future
This year, for the seventh consecutive year, Atlantis has renewed the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for its knitted products Made in Europe, one of the most recognized and respected labels worldwide for textiles tested for harmful substances. This renewal not only confirms our ongoing commitment to product safety but also marks a significant step towards an increasingly sustainable future. In fact, this is the second year that we have included recycled materials such as recycled polyester, acrylic, cotton, and wool in our certification, further expanding the range of “preferred” options for our customers.
Atlantis uses numerous OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics and yarns not only for its collection but also for Custom Made productions. This label is one of the key tools to ensure the chemical safety of our products, guaranteeing that the main components of our items are safe for both human health and the environment.
What is the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certification?
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the most prestigious labels in the world for textile products tested for harmful substances. Recognized and respected globally, it is synonymous with consumer trust and high product safety. This certification is applicable to a wide range of products, including textiles, accessories, and items at every production level, covering even non-textile components and recycled materials.
When a textile product carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be sure that every component, from the thread to the button, has been tested for harmful substances and that, consequently, the item is safe for human health. The tests are conducted by independent partner institutes, therefore ensuring objectivity and rigor in the evaluations. During the tests, many substances that could be harmful to human health or the environment, both regulated and non-regulated, are considered. In many cases, the limit values imposed by STANDARD 100 exceed national and international requirements, demonstrating the excellence of the label. This means that choosing to work with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified materials reduce the risk of non-compliance. It is just one of the practices we adopt, along with an independent control program, but it is only permitted to reference the Standard 100 if the finished product is supported by a valid certificate, not just some of its components.
The certification process: a continuous commitment
The OEKO-TEX® certificate is valid for one year from the date of issue. To renew it, it is necessary to demonstrate that the initial conditions are still valid or to declare any changes made to the production process. This ensures that every year the products are re-tested according to the criteria established by the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 regulations, thereby maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Atlantis’ product range is not limited to the items listed on our company’s certificate. We work closely with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified partners, which allows us to expand the range of items labelled with this mark, thus covering a greater number of customer requests. All the components of these items, thanks to the certification, comply with the standard and are tested for hazardous substances, ensuring maximum safety.
A special focus on recycled materials
One of the most important aspects of our commitment to sustainability is the inclusion, for the second consecutive year of recycled materials in our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification. Recycled polyester, recycled acrylic, recycled cotton, and recycled wool are now an integral part of our productions, and are tested according to the same rigorous criteria as the other materials. This choice not only reduces environmental impact, but it also offers our customers products that meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
Ensuring transparency and consumer trust
Transparency is a fundamental value for both OEKO-TEX® and Atlantis. Through the OEKO-TEX® label s, it is possible to verify on the Standard’s website that the certificate number on the label is valid and which materials are covered. This tool allows our customers and consumers to purchase products with the assurance that they have undergone the strictest warranty checks and to be wary of any misuse of the OEKO-TEX® logo that may be present in the market.
In addition to the OEKO-TEX® certification, Atlantis adheres to the BY Your side® program and strictly follows its PRSL (Product Restricted Substances List), ensuring that all our products comply with stringent chemical specifications, further reinforcing our commitment to safety and sustainability.
Our promise of quality and safety
In a world increasingly focused on awareness and responsibility, Atlantis continues to invest in quality certifications like OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. Renewing this certification year after year is not just an achievement for us, but a promise to offer safe, certified, and environmentally friendly products. We believe that only through continuous commitment can we contribute to a safer future for all, ensuring our customers the quality and safety they deserve.
