Atlantis Headwear x rehub: a collaboration that moves forward

Our collaboration with rehub began with a shared vision: to give new value to what would otherwise be seen as waste. After the first project developed together last year, this journey now continues with Reborn in Murano, a new chapter that takes us into the heart of Murano and brings us closer to the work of rehub, the Venice-based startup dedicated to recovering non-recyclable glass waste.

At the center of the story is Matteo, founder of rehub, who shows how a material destined for landfill can be transformed into something new. Glass waste collected from local manufacturers is turned into a fine powder and, through a combination of water and technological research, becomes a moldable paste called revéro. This material can be processed through techniques such as lamination, pressing, injection molding, and 3D printing, opening new possibilities for design and responsible manufacturing.

From glass waste to a new form of value

For us at Atlantis Headwear, interviewing rehub means giving continuity to a project rooted in local identity, material research, and circularity. It is a vision we had already explored through the creation of coasters and pins with an embossed logo, made from recovered glass for a company event. Small objects, able to make the transformation from waste into new value visible and tangible.

“Reborn in Murano” opens the narrative path of “Real Heads, True Stories”, a format dedicated to people and projects that share with Atlantis a more conscious way of looking at products, materials, and the impact every choice can generate. It is a story that reveals the hidden beauty of forgotten materials and the potential of manufacturing that can look beyond tradition without losing its value.
